By Ben Solly: Tonight on the undercard of Fury Vs Pajkic in Manchester saw the professional debut of Chris Eubank Jr. son of the former WBO middleweight champion.
Looking to carry on the family name, Eubank Jr. impressed in scoring a fourth round stoppage win over Lithuanian fighter Kirilas Psonko. Eubank dominated from the outset working behind a crisp jab, and looking to throw combinations early on.
The tight guard of Psonko proved to be a useful test for Eubank Jr, who emulated his father’s ring entrance to Tina Turner’s ’Simply the Best’. After some advice to go to the body from his father, Eubank Jr began to dig in hurtful hooks to the ribcage of Psonko. Whilst never looking in any real danger, Psonko had retreated into a defensive shell, prompting referee Michael Alexander to stop the fight mid way through the fourth round.
