Mick Hennessy, the promoter of new British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has wisely decided not to rush him into a showdown with world champion Wladimir Klitschko.
The 6ft 9, 260lbs boxer from Manchester may well be able to match 35 year-old Klitschko physically but at just 22 years of age and with only 15 fights at domestic level to his name, he is far from ready to battle it out with the world No.1 heavyweight.
Speaking after Fury clearly out-pointed Dereck Chisora to claim the British and Commonwealth titles Hennessy said: "When I’m ready for Tyson to fight Wladimir or Vitali Klitschko he will - but on our time schedule.
"Tyson is the best talent in world boxing and is going to be the biggest sportsman in the world." July 25, 2011
