Fury Rejects Harrison And Rogan

British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion Tyson Fury may well be looking for an opponent for his Irish boxing debut at the famous Kings Hall in Belfast on September 17 but one man that most definitely will not be in the opposing corner is Audley Harrison.

Promoter Mick Hennessy has pulled off a minor miracle in persuading Channel5 to take a punt on broadcasting LIVE boxing on UK terrestrial tv and he does not want to scare them off.

Speaking at a press conference in Belfast earlier today the London based promoter said: "I’ve just brought Channel 5 into boxing -- I don’t want to chase them away!"

Another man that will not be facing Fury in the apposing corner in a couple of weeks time is Irish heavyweight Martin Rogan.

Rogan made a surprise appearance at the press conference to explain why he turned down the opportunity to challenge Fury in September and Hennessy also confirmed Rogan’s opportunity to face Fury is gone forever."No, we’ve been there, done that. We’re moving on. Rogan just didn’t want to fight," said Hennessy.

Dangerous Irish based Cuban Mike Perez looks to be in the frame for the September date but no official announcement has been made.
