According to Ricky Hatton’s local newspaper the Manchester Evening News, ‘The Hitman’ is set to retire.
Although not officially confirmed it is believed Hatton told friends he is set to walk away from the ring for good.
The 31 year-old is set to fight again in the summer but it now appears those plans could be scrapped.
Hatton has not fought since being viciously knocked out by Manny Pacquiao last May. Because of the nature of the brutal knockout and the way in which Hatton famously blows up in weight between fights, many fans of the ‘Hitman’ will be hoping the rumours of him hanging up his gloves prove true.
