Just a month or so after announcing his retirement from boxing David Haye could find himself back in the ring as early as March, 2012, challenging Vitali Klitschko for the WBC heavyweight crown.
The former WBA champion, from London, is said to be in negotiations with Klitschko’s manager Bernd Boente for a heavyweight clash in Germany on March 3.
Boente is quoted in The Sun newspaper, stating: "Haye is an option for Vitali’s next fight."
Haye is also on record as saying he would break his retirement to fight one of the Klitschko brothers.
Haye was heavily criticised for producing such a poor and negative performance against Vitali’s younger brother Wladimir Klitschko earlier this year. He was clearly beaten on points over 12 rounds by Wladimir back in July and would start a massive underdog against the physically stronger older Klitschko, should the fight happen.
