Michael Katsidis and Graham Earl are set to rematch in Queensland, Australia in August, five years after they first fought in what most experts highlighted as their fight of the year.
The pair first met in February 2007, with Katsidis stopping Earl in five exciting rounds.
Earl has pursued a rematch ever since, now Katsidis is ready to grant Earl his wish and go into battle again.
“Graham is one tough man, it will definitely be a war and I love a war," Katsidis told news.smh.com.au.
"When we met in 2007, we exchanged a lot of punches. He went down, I went down.
"It will be on again. I will have to be in my best shape for this battle.
"From the day we embraced each other and agreed for a rematch, he chased me and now I will honour my commitment to Graham Earl and give him the rematch he has been seeking."
According to Katsidis’ trainer Brendon Smith three venues in Queensland are currently being considered
