Wladimir Klitschko tipped the scales at 243lbs ahead of his Heavyweight unfication battle with bitter rival David Haye at a shopping centre in Hamburg, Germany this afternoon. Thats 4lb lighter than when he knocked out Samuel Peter in September 2011.
IBF/WBO and IBO champion faces WBA king haye at the Imtech soccer Arena in Hamburg on Saturday night.
Haye weighed in at 213lbs, nearly 3lbs heavier than when he knocked out Audley Harrsion in his last title defence.
Haye,as expected, taunted Klitschko at the customery head to head and both men refused to back down as the most eagerly awaited heavyweight scrap for some years finally draws near.
"He genuinly thinks he can win this fight, said Haye after the weigh in. "He just thinks i’m an annoying little Englishman that he can squash but he’s so wrong. Lennox Lewis is the man I aspire to and everyone wants to emulate him."
