Lebedev Ko's Cox In two

WBA interim cruiserweight champion Denis Lebedev, 24-1-(18) scored a spectacular second round knockout over challenger Shawn Cox, 16-2-(15) at the Crocus City Hall in Myakinino, Russia on Wednesday night.


The 37-year-old challenger bloodied Lebedev’s nose in the openinground, but the champion came roaring back in round two to club Cox to the canvas Cox never rose to his feet and was counted out.


On the undercard unbeaten super bantamweight Alexander Bakhti, 29-0-(11), out-pointed Nehomar Cermeno over 12 one-sided rounds in a clash for the vacant WBA International title. The scores were 119-109, 117-111, 119-109.


In a light-middleweight bout Oleg Liseev, 4-2-(2), won an eight round unanimous decision over Artur Akavov The previously unbeaten Akavov was down from a body shot to the body in round four and deducted a point for holding in round five.

At Heavyweight Dennis Bakhtov, 34-7-(23) ,won a hard fought eight round split decision over Jonte Willis.
