When unbeaten Kevin Mitchell eventually fights for a world title stateside or anywhere else he has to go for that matter, he won’t be ditching long time promoter Frank Warren-he’ll be taking him with him.
The 25 year-old defends his WBO Inter Continental lightweight title at the Wembley Arena on Saturday night and hopes victory will earn him a crack at the world title.
"If Amir Khan can get a world title fight two fights after a loss, and I’m unbeaten at 25 years of age, I’m more than ready for a world title fight," he told Sky Sports News.
Mitchell is also aware that he will eventually have to fight in the US to gain valuable exposure and insists promoter Frank Warren will still be part of his plans.
"I’ve been with Frank for seven years now. One day I will be a multi-millionaire, I will want to go abroad and be a world champion and me and Frank will go together," insisted Mitchell.
"He guides people’s career perfect, he does things right and I’m good friends with Frank."

Just to clarify I didn't slate Mitchell and mentioned nothing about his ability in my comment. I merely found the comment 'warren guides people perfect' amusing. I didn't say Prescott was a bum or washed up and I think Mitchell is a very good fighter, don't know how you read all that in my comment!?! I could say the same about your comment, 'cherry picks opponents' were you saying Prescott is a bum? No? Neither was I. And Sugar Ray Leonard!?!
Silly Comments.

Let's clear something up...Mitchell just beat Breidis Prescott, hardly a bum or a washed-up fighter. It just so happens that Mitchell's got real talent. Don't let your dislike of Warren shade Mitchell's ability. Just wait and see. He's only 25 and has beaten everybody in his path so far. I reckon you would have slated Sugar ray Leonard at that age too.
Mitchell might get a tough fight by the time he's 35!?!
Gu:
Yeah Warren guides people perfect. Look how he guided calzaghe to fight a long succession of bums when he was in his prime and only letting him fight decent opposition when his career was nearly over and there was no more money to be squeezed out. Perfect.
****s
