Kevin Mitchell is likely to target Australia’s Michael Katsidis again after his impressive victory over John Murray a few weeks ago..
Katsidis snapped a two-fight losing streak on last Friday(August 12) night with a knockout win against Michael Lodza.
The fight took place in Queensland, Australia and was Katsidis’ first fight on home soil for five years.
But Mitchell will be hoping to tempt Katsidis back out from down under, and nail down a rematch of their meeting in May 2010..
Back then Katsidis won the WBO lightweight title fight inside three one-sided rounds.
Immediately afterwards, Mitchell complained of being under-prepared, and spent 15 months out of the ring getting his life - and career - back on track.
The hard work paid off when he returned with a career best win against Murray in July.
All the talk before that fight had been of the winner facing WBA champion Brandon Rios.
But while Mitchell didn’t rule out a fight against the young American prospect, he made it clear that Katsidis was top of his hit list.
