Matthew Macklin will face Georgia’s Shalva Jomardashvili for the vacant European middleweight title at the LG Arena in Birmingham on September 18.
Macklin was due to challenge champion Darren Barker for the title but the London born titleholder was forced out through injury. Barker relinquished belt to allow Macklin to face Jomardashvil.
