Legendry trainer Manny Steward has hit back at the claims that he wrapped Wladimir Klitschko’s hands illegally before facing American Lamon Brewster in 2007.
Paddy Fitzgerald, who is now part of Team Haye, was working with Lamon Brewster at the time of the fight. At Monday’s press conference Fitzgerald confronted Steward on the podium about the hand wrap issue, which led to some ugly scenes taking place, forcing security to step in
Steward completely dismissed Fitzgerald’s claims, telling Skysports.com: "Why would I do that? I know you can’t tape the hands, of course I do.
"I have been wrapping hands for years; longer than I care to remember. I have wrapped hands all over the world. I give clinics on wrapping hands, so why on earth would I do that?"
