American Andre Ward insists it will not effect him in any way if British opponent Carl Froch brings more support than him to Atlantic City, New Jersey on October 29.
Unbeaten Ward, from Oakland, California, faces WBC champion Froch in the final of Showtime’s Super Six tournament and says he respects the passion British fight fans have for their boxing heros.
"I actually like it and enjoy their passion for their fighters," Ward said.
"It’s similar to when Ricky Hatton fought Floyd Mayweather; it was a pro-Hatton crowd and if he has more fans that I do it’s just part of the game.
"You have to block it out, you have to use it in your favour and do what you have to do to win.
"Of course I’m going to be the victor - I shouldn’t be here talking to you if I didn’t think I was going to win.
"I’ve always wanted to be the Ring Magazine champion now that is on the line, plus the Super Six cup and two other world titles. Everything is on the line."
