Frank Warren says that David Haye’s trash talking has gone too far and must stop now.
The 30 year-old WBA heavyweight champion takes on Wladimir Klitschko in a unification battle in, Hanburg, Germany on Saturday night.
But Warren insists that he stop hurling disgusting and distasteful insults at the WBO/IBF and IBO champion.
So far Haye’s pre-fight stunts have included wearing a t-shirt with the decapitated heads of both Klitschko brothers and wanting to send Klitschko home in an ambulance.
"It’s gone too far," Warren told London based Talksport Radio .
"I don’t recall too many boxers talking about putting people in hospital.
"Can you imagine how the likes of Michael Watson and Gerald McClellan, who actually wound up in hospital, must feel hearing stuff like that? It’s indefensible.
"Boxing is a dangerous sport and we don’t need idiotic comments like that.
"This fight is a good fight, it’s a stand up fight, it’s a fight the heavyweight division has been crying out for. Get it on, it doesn’t need all this nonsense. It’s wrong.
Warren added: "He [Haye] does it before every fight. He’s going to cut someone’s head off he’s going to do this and do that, it’s just ridiculous."
