Richard Abril became the new WBA Interim lightweight champion on Saturday night when he out-pointed former world champ Miguel “Aguacerito” Acosta at the Roberto Duran Arena in Panama City, Panama.
Abril floored Acosta three times on his way to a clear 113-112, 117-108, 115-111 win on all three judges cards.
