Adamek’s Air Scare

As if Tomasz Adamek did not have a rough enough time of it when he faced the formidable man mountain that is Vitali Klitschko last Saturday night.

Just hours after being stopped inside 10 painful rounds by the Ukrainian for the WBC heavyweight crown. Adamek was involved in an air scare when his US bound plane was forced to turn back when the pilot noticed a cracked window.

The New York bound jet was in the air for nearly three hours when the pilot announced he was going to make an emergency landing back in Warsaw,Poland.

Speaking after his ordeal Adamek, who was travelling with his wife and promotional team, said: “It was not a comfortable situation to all of the passengers.

“We of course know that today(Sunday) is the ten year anniversary of New York 2001 tragedy, so everybody was on edge when pilots announced that we have go back.

Team Adamek are hoping to resume their trip to New York later today.
