Vladine Biosse of Providence, R.I.and John Mackay battled to a majority draw in the main event at the Twin River Event Center in Rhode Island on Friday night.
After losing last time out Biosse entered the ring looking to get back on track, but veteran Mackey (13-6-3) worked behind a tight defence to make it very difficult for Biosse to score any clean shots. Biosse was a 77-75 winner on one card, while the remaining judges scored the bout even at 76-76, resulting in a majority draw.
After being out of the ring for two years Richard Starnino (9-6-2) may have been the aggressor from the start against Reynaldo Rodtiguez but it the Puerto Rican that finished on top, stopping Stamino after 1,04 of the fourth round.
Starnino overstretched and missed wildly, leaving Rodriguez to land a clean left hook that sent Stamino to the canvas. Stamino managed to get to his feet but he was unsteady and referee Joey Lupino stopped the fight
