Omar Chavez and Jorge Paez Jr set up a potential match up with each other when they both emerged victorious at the Foro Promocasa in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico on Saturday night.
In the main event, welterweight Omar “Businessman” Chavez (27-0-1, 20 KOs) smashed Alberto Martínez (15-2, 10 KOs) in the opening round. A left hook to the jaw did the damage after 2:51.
On the undercard welterweight Jorge “Maromerito” Paez Jr. (29-4-1, 18 KOs) floored Rodrigo Juarez (15-14-1, 11 KOs) in round one with an uppercut and stopped him with a combination of punches after 1:10 of round three.
