Reportedly, former multiple weight world champion Roy Jones Jr. will take on ex IBF 168 lbs. titlist Jeff Lacy, Saturday, August 15, at the Gulf Coast Arena in Biloxi, Mississippi. The PPV card will also feature Danny Green vs. Julio Cesar Dominguez for the vacant IBO 200 lbs. belt, as well as, WBO #3 rated cruiserweight BJ Flores vs. TBA.
Both Jones and Lacy are coming off victories following one-sided losses in
high-profile bouts against Joe Calzaghe and Jermain Taylor, respectively.
The 40-year-old Jones (53-5, 39 KOs) TKO’d Omar Sheika in five rounds on March 21 in his hometown of Pensacola, FL.
The 32-year-old Lacy (25-2, 17 KOs), from St. Petersburg, Fl, is coming off a ten-round decision victory over Otis Griffin on April 10 in Tampa.
