Argentine tough guy Marcos Maidana has welcomed a challenge from American Paulie Malignaggi.
New Yorker Malignaggi, the former IBF light-welterweight champ, has professed an interested in facing him and Maidana is ready to meet his challenge.
“I see that Paul Malignaggi challenged me for February,” said Maidana. “I’m in for it! Now it’s up to my promoter Golden Boy.”
Maidana added: “Malignaggi has balls, he proved it versus Cotto.”
Malignaggi and Maidana are both promoted by Golden Boy prmotions so a clash between the two would be easy to make.
