

WBO Welterweight Champion Antonio Margarito has agreed to take on wba champion Miguel Cotto on a Top Rank promoted card at Madison Square Garden in New York June 9 .
Bob Arum of Top Rank and Team Margarito made the announcement today.
"This is the biggest fight out there for me," Margarito said. "I am anxious to get into the ring against Cotto."
Margarito, the 'Tijuana Tornado' with a record of 34-4 with 24 knockouts, is presently out with an injury to his right wrist. Margarito, managed by Sergio Diaz and Francisco Espinoza, will attend the Miguel Cotto vs. Oktay Urkal WBA welterweight championship fight on March 3 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
If Cotto wins, a formal Cotto vs. Margarito announcement will be made that night.
