Mayweather Hands Ortiz Rematch Incentive
Floyd Mayweather Jr has told Victor Ortiz via his Twitter account that if he can beat Andre Berto again then he will grant him a rematch. The undefeated American Superstar controversially knocked out Ortiz in the fourth round to claim the WBC welterweight title a couple of weeks ago. At the time ’Money’ Mayweather had dismissed the idea of a rematch but now it appears he has had a change of heart.

A judge in Las Vegas has found WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. not guilty on misdemeanor charges accusing him of threatening two homeowner association security guards outside his gated development home.

Mayweather Proves He's The Money Man


Floyd Mayweather proved He’s the cash cow when it comes to PPV boxing events by grossing more than $78 million for his clash with Victor Ortiz.

The HBO box office event was the second highest in the all-time list of non-heavyweight bouts, only Mayweather’s clash with Oscar De La Hoya in 2007 made more money.

"My motto is ’hard work and dedication’ and I have shown this throughout my entire career, which has allowed me to go out and perform each time I step in the ring," said Mayweather.

"I give the fans everything I have with the best competition and exciting fights.

Mayweather Jr added: "I must be doing something right as they keep buying my fights and I appreciate their tremendous support. It feels good to be able to generate such a great interest in the sport."

One can only imagine just how much money would be generated if Mayweather Jr ever stepped in the with pound for pound king Manny Pacquiao.
