Miguel Cotto Sr, the father of former two weight world champion Miguel Cotto, has dies unexpectedly-he was 52 years old.
Cotto, Jr, who was stopped in the 12th and final round by Manny Pacquiao back in November released the following statement to the press: “We appreciate all of the tokens of affection and sympathy. It is very painful moment for me and for my entire family. I hope that everyone respects our request for space to overcome this difficult moment."
The funeral arrangements will be announced in due course. A mass has been organized in Canaboncito, Puerto Rico.
