Heavyweight prospect Seth “Mayhem” Mitchell improved his record to (23-0-1, 17 KOs) at the Texas Station Casino in Las Vegas on Friday night with a third round tko win over Hector Ferreryo (21-11-2, 12 KOs)
Mitchell pretty much had everything his own way from the opening bell, hurting the Texas based boxer whenever he threw a combination of punches.
The end came after 2.17 of the third round when a series of unanswered head punches forced the referee to step in. Fereryo was not happy at the finish but he was battered around the eyes and had no cause for complaint
In the co-main event, unbeaten Olympic gold medalist Felix Diaz (10-0, 6 KOs) scored a clear eight round decision win over Larry Smith (10-6, 7 KOs). One judge made it a shutout 80-72 while the other two score it 79-73 for Diaz.
