Three-weight world champion Fernando Montiel (47-4-2, 37 KOs) scored a ninth round knockout win over Indonesian Angky Angkota (25-7, 14 KOs) in Mazatlan, Mexico on Saturday night.
Montiel floored Angkota for the full count with a body shot after 2:32 of the ninth session.
In the co-feature, former WBA champion “Sammy Guty” Gutierrez won al 20 round unanimous decision over Carlos Dario Ruiz in a flyweight clash.
