Mora Stops Flores In Indio

Former WBC light middleweight champion Sergio “The Latin Snake” Mora (23-2-2, 7 KOs) scored a seventh round stoppage win over Shibata Flores (45-12, 26 KOs) at the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, Calif on Friday night.

Mora was always far too busy for the 39-year-old Flores from start to finish. Referee Lou Moret stepped in to save Flores from taking any more punishment between rounds seven and eight.

On the undercard unbeaten light-middleweight Hugo “The Boss” Centeno (10-0, 6 KOs) won a six round unanimous decision over Hector Orozco (4-9, 0 KOs). The scores were 59-55, 58-56, 58-56.
