Unbeaten lightweight Luis Ramos Jr. (20-0, 7 KOs) hope scored a fifth round knockout win over David Rodela (15-5-3, 6 KOs) at The Hangar at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, California on Firday night.
A left hook the stomach form Ramos finished Rodela after 1:57 of the fifth round.
Ramos was originally scheduled to face Rodela a few months ago, but an outside of the ring incident stopped that bout from happening
On the undercard unbeaten featherweight prospect Ronny Rios (16-0, 7 KOs) out-pointed Roger “Speedy” Gonzalez (27-5, 18 KOs) over eight rounds. The scores were 80-72, 78-74, 78-74.
In a featherweight bout Jose Manuel Sanchez (6-2, 3 KOs) destroyed Christian Gonzalez (3-3-1, 1 KO) after just 15 of the opening round.
