Former multiple weight world champion Roy Jones Jr., 54-7-(40), will fight Danny Santiago in his hometown of Pensacola, Florida on October 7.
An official announcement and venue for the fight will take place next week.
Also in action is Jones Jr’s one time rival and future Boxing Hall of Famer Bernard Hopkins, who challenges Jean Pascal for the Canadian’s WBC light-heavyweight crown on December 18, probably in Quebec City.
“We have an agreement in principle and I’m just awaiting the paper work to finalize,” said Pascal’s promoter Yvon Michel.
