US Friday night round-up: Luevano edges Estanislao



Steven Luevano dropped down a weight on Friday night to claim the WBO NABO Super Bantamweight title with a 12 round points win over Ruben Estanislao at the Edgewater Hotel and Casino in Laughlin, Nevada. The 24 year-old won clearly on all three judges cards by 118-110 twice and 117-111.

Luevano, who is ranked No.8 and No.10 by the WBC and IBF respectively, improves to 28-0-(14), while Estanislao falls to 17-8-2-(3).

At the famous Blue Horizon venue in Philadelphia unbeaten heavyweight "Fast" Eddie Chambers scored a unanimous 12 round decision over Robert " Hawkins

Chambers floored Hawkins with a left hook to the body in the eighth round before getting the decision on all three cards by the same 115-112 score. Chambers won both the Pennsylvania State and IBU heavyweight titles.
