Guillermo Sanchez of Buffalo won the vacant WBC Youth lightweight title via eight point decision over Eduardo Ramirez of Laredo, TX at the Fairgrounds Event Center in Hamburg, NY on Friday night.
Sanchez floored Ramirez in the second round with a the straight left. Ramirez was upat the count of five. Having felt the power of Sanchez, Ramirez elected to box for the rest of the fight but did rain in some heavy punches until the end. The scores were 80-71 twice and 79-72 for Sanchez, who improves to 13-2-1. Ramirez falls to 6-7-1.
