World Boxing Association/World Boxing Council super flyweight world boxing champion Cristian Mijares and International Boxing Federation 115lbs world champion Vic Darchinyan both weighed in at the 115lbs limit during Friday’s weigh in at the Double Tree Hotel in Carson, California, USA.
27 year-old Mijares 35-3-2 (13) will face 32 year-old Darchinyan 30-1-1 (24) in an eagerly awaited 115lbs world title unification showdown this Saturday November 1, at The Home Depot Center in Carson, California, televised in the USA on Showtime Championship Boxing at 9pm ET/PT, delayed on the west coast.
No.7 ranked WBO super middleweight contender Andre Dirrell 16-0 (11) and No.6 WBO contender Victor Oganov 28-1 (28) both weighed in at 167 ½ pounds. The two world-ranked 168-pound contenders will battle in an exciting 12-round co-feature on Showtime.
Tickets, priced at US$25 to $250, are on sale at The Home Depot Center Box Office, open 10am-6pm Monday through Friday, all Ticketmaster retail ticket locations, online at www.Ticketmaster.com and Ticketmaster-Charge-by-Phone (213-480-3232).
