Christensen Returns Victorious In Randers


Former WBA/WBC female bantamweight champion Anita Christensen returned to the ring after a two year lay off on Saturday to out-point Isabelle Leonardi over six rounds in Randers, Denmark.

 

The current French champion was the more aggressive of the two boxers early on but Christensen’s boxing skills proved enough to convince the judges to make her the winner. Two judges scored the bout 58-56 while the third official scored the bout 59-56, all for Christensen,25-1-1-(8).

 

On the same card Kim Poulsen improved his record to 21-1-(6), when he clearly out-pointed Miguel Aguilar from Nicaraqua. Poulsen decked Aguilar in the opening round, and Poulsen was just the better all round boxer as the 80-71 score line on all three cards,proved.
