WBC super-featherweight kingTakahiro Aoh (21-2-1, 10 KOs), successfully retained his title with fourth round points win over Humberto Gutierrez in Kobe,Japan on Friday.
Aoh controlled the bout from the opening round by steadily racking up the points by switching his shots from head to body to slow down the Mexican challenger.
Aoh kept up the pressure in the third round and looked in control until Gutierrrez landed a southpaw right hook to leave the champion stunned. In round four Aoh was back on the attack and connected with some heavy shots to the body once again. One particular punch to the body decked Gutierrez, leaving him nailed to the canvas for the full count of 10.
