
Former WBA cruiserweight champion Firat Arslan won the IBF International and PABA cruiserweight titles via fifth round tko against the over matched Lubos Suda. In Baden-Württemberg, Germany on Friday night
Arslan put the pressure on his opponent from the opening bell and immediately set out about delivering some heavy punches. Suda, whose record falls to 23-6-1, never looked as though he could put a dent in the former champ.
Suda was decked twice in the fourth and the fifth rounds from body shots, forcing the referee to intervene and stop the overmatched Suda from taking too much punishment. Arslan improves his record to 31-5-1 with 20 knockouts.
In the upset of the night former world title challenger Khoren Gevor lost a 12 round unanimous decision against unbeaten Nikola Sjekloca from Montenegro, who now sports a 21-0 record. Sjekloca controlled the action from the outside, while Gevor tried to engage his opponent in a toe to toe battle. It worked for a small periods but Sjekloca deserved his 116:112, 115:113 and 115:114 verdict.
