By Paul Upham: Zac “Shaker” Awad won a six round technical points decision over late replacement Tim Kanofski at light heavyweight on Thursday 4 November 2010, headlining a Angelo Hyder “Nitro Boxing” promotion at the Wyong Rugby League Club in Kanwal, NSW.

A deep cut over left eye of Kanofski forced an early stoppage to the scheduled eight round fight. Judges scored the fight for 29 year-old Awad 15-1-1 (6), 50-47, 48-47 and 48-47.

Also on the card, former IBF super lightweight world title contender 32 year-old Naoufel “Chocolata” Ben Rabah 31-2 (16) had an easy 1st round knockout win over 31 year-old Ramadhan Weriu 14-4-1 (13) from Merauke City, Indonesia.

The fight of the night was a wild heavyweight slug fest between Sosaia Funaki and Clarence Tillman, where both men were stunned at different times.

26 year-old Funaki 6-0 (5) from Ambervale, New South Wales prevailed, winning by 2nd round knockout.

The card was televised live around Australia on Fox Sports 3.
