IBF featherweight world champion Billy Dib, (33-1, 20 KOs), destroyed Italian challenger Alberto Servidei, (31-1-2, 7 KOs), inside a round to retain his title at the Sydney Olympic Park Sports Centre in Sydney, Australia.
The time of the knockout was 2:38. Dib jumped attacked the challenger from the start, backing him up and catching him with several times heavy shots before connecting with a crunching left hook to the body.
Servidei never looked like getting up and continuing . Dib produced heavy handed body shots early in the round and Servidei fell on one previous occasion, but the referee ruled it a slip.
