Following the disappointment of having Robert Guerrero pull out of his recent bout WBA interim junior welterweight champion Marcos Maidana will now face Petr Petrov on September 23.
Russian born Petrov,29-2-(13), will clash with Maidana over 12 rounds in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The 28-year-old Petrov was born in Russia but has fought most of his career in Spain, and mainly over six and eight rounds apart from one 10 rounder and one 12 rounder in 31 fighs.
