
French heavyweight Jean Marc Mormeck won a 12 round split decision over Timur Ibragimov at the Halle Georges Carpentier in Paris, France on Thursday night.
At the end of 12 tough rounds two judges made Mormeck the winner by scores of 116-111 and 116-112 while the third official made Ibragimov the winner by scores of 115-113.
Mormeck, 36-4-(22), won the vacant WBA International heavyweight title, Ibragimov falls to 30-3-1-(16).
