Also on the card, Arthur Abraham had a quick night against Stjepan Bozic to get back to his winning ways following back to back defeats to Andre Dirrell and Carl Froch. Bozic was unable to continue after about a minute into the second round due to an injured hand. Abraham elevated his numbers to 32-2 (26). Bozic fell to 24-5 (15).
Abraham holds his number six ranking among SecondsOut’s super middleweights.
Also on the card, Karo Murat defeated Christian Cruz by eight round decision to get back in the win column since losing to Nathan Cleverly. Murat improved his ledger to 23-1 (13). Cruz was further humbled to 12-12-1 (10).
Murat remains the number ten light heavyweight among SecondsOut’s elites.
Also on Saturday, February 12, at Polideportivo Municipal in Monte Hermoso, Buenos Aires, Argentina, Omar Andres Narvaez outscored Victor Zaleta to defend the WBO 115 pound title for the first time. Narvaez lost only one round on the three judges’ scorecards and enhanced his record to 33-0-2 (19). Zaleta fell to 17-2 (9).
Narvaez holds down the number two spot at 115 behind only Hugo Cazares, but with Tomas Rojas in hot pursuit.
Also on the card, Sammy Gutierrez stopped Renan Trongco in six rounds to defend the interim WBA 105 pound title for the first time. Gutierrez raised his record to 27-5-2 (18). Trongco fell to 8-3 (5).
