
WBO middleweight champ Dmitry Pirog, 18-0-(14), scored an uneventful 12 round points win over Javier Francisco Maciel, 18-2-(12), at the DIVS Sports Palace in Ekaterinburg, Russia on Saturday night.
Despite an injection of urgency and a heavy right hand in the fourth round, Pirog failed to impress but did more than enough to win a unanimous points win by scores of 115-112, 117-110, 115-111.
On the undercard unbeaten Olympian lightweight Gold medallist Alisher Rahimov, 22-0-(11), out-pointed Rustam Nugaev, 21-6-1-(12), over 12 rounds by scores of 118-112, 118-113, 116-112.

Another Olympic medallist on the card was Vyacheslav Glazkov, 9-0-(6), who out-pointed Denis Bakhtov, 33-6-(22), over eight rounds in a heavyweight bout. The scores were 80-72 on all three judges cards.
welterweight prospect Felix Diaz, 9-0-(6), yet another Olympic Gold medallist on the card, stopped Andrey Berdyshev in round three. Diaz floored Berdyshev with a thunderous left hand and the fight was stopped after 1:39 of round three.
