
Double world title challenger Tomonobu Shimizu (18-3-1, 9 KOs),will have his third crack at the WBA super-fly weight title on August 31 when he faces Mexican Hugo Cazares (35-6-2, 25 KOs) in Tokyo, Japan,
The fight will take equal top billing with Koki Kameda (25-1, 16 KOs), who defends his WBA bantamweight title against David De la Mora (26-0, 16 KOs).
Shimizu has failed to win the 112-pound belt twice before, both inside the distance, against Pongsaklek Wongjongkam in Thailand in 2007 and compatriot Daisuke Naito.
