
Oleydong Sithsamerchai, 34-0-1-(12),retained his WBC minimumweight title by the narrowest of margins against Pornsawan Por Pramook, 22-3-1-(16), at Kadchoengdoi Shopping Center in Chiengmai, Thailand on Friday night.
At the end of 12 tough rounds Oleydong scraped home by virtue of a 114-113 judges verdict in his favour while the other two officials saw the fight even at 114-114 each.
The dominated the first four rounds due to his quicker counter punching but as the fight progressed Pramock began to connect with is punches as as Sithsamerchai began to tire,
Pramock’s hard work paid off in the sixth round when he floored Oleydong with a series of body attacks.
It a very close affair in the latter stages but the tired looking Pornsawan held on to retain his title.
