By Tri Nguyen: Ulises "Archie" Solis won a convincing 10-round unanimous decision against Eric Ortiz. Solis (31-2-2, 21 KOs) dropped Ortiz in the ninth and tenth and rounds on Saturday night.
The judges scorecards read 99-88, 98-89, 98-89.Ortiz’ record falls to 31-11-3, 20 KOs.
Solis is the mandatory challener to face the winner of the Carlos Tamara and Luis AlbertoLazarte bout.
On the undercard, Mark Melligen (19-2, 13 KOs) won a unanimous decision over Anges Adjaho with scores of 99-91, 98-92, and 97-93.Melligen was busier and and landed the cleaner shots in this entertaining but one-sided bout. Adjaho falls to 17-3, 9 KOs.
