Humberto Soto has relinquished his WBC lightweight crown and moved up to the junior-weltwelterweight.
Soto, who defended his title for the last time last Saturday against Motoki Sasaki, has sent official notication to the WBC, announcing his decision to move up to junior welterweight.
It is understood that Soto could fight a 10 rounder in September before challenging for a version of the 140lbs title.
