Sebastian Zbik has been installed as the WBC’s middleweight champion. A letter from president Jose Sulaiman to Zbik’s promoter Universum Box Promtion on Tuesday confirmed as much.
Current champion Sergio Martinez is said to have failed to fulfil his mandatory obligation.
Zbik had been the WBC’s interim titleholder since July 2009.
