The Daniel Dubois vs Joseph Parker fight is in jeopardy.
Dubois was set to defend his IBF heavyweight title against Parker in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia this weekend, on the Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol rematch card.
It would have seen Dubois back in action following his impressive win over Anthony Joshua at Wembley Stadium in September, while Parker was challenging for the title after back-to-back points wins over Deontay Wilder and Zhilei Zhang.
Disaster has seemingly struck though, after it was reported that Dubois is suffering from illness and currently being examined by a doctor, potentially forcing the Brit out of the fight.
Three names are now believed to be in the frame to replace Dubois if he is indeed forced from the fight, after The Ring announced that Lawrence Okolie, David Adeleye and Mourad Aliev are among the fighters being considered to face Parker.
Former cruiserweight and bridgerweight world champion Okolie won his heavyweight debut in December, and was set to return in April to take on Richard Riakporhe.
Fellow Brit Adeleye was last in action in December when he stopped Solomon Dacres inside a round to win the English heavyweight title, and was scheduled to defend it against Jeamie TKV in April.
Aliev is undefeated with a record of 13-0 with 10 knockouts, and last time out stopped Davide Brito to win the WBC international heavyweight title.
A decision on whether Dubois vs Parker will remain on the card or if Parker faces a new opponent is expected to be announced imminently.
