Adam Azim has put pen to paper on a new contract ahead of his return to the ring.
Azim is viewed as one of the best talents in not only the UK but in the world, with the 23-year-old having put together an undefeated record of 13-0, with 10 of those wins coming by knockout.
He was last in action in February, when he stopped former world champion Sergey Lipinets in the ninth round of their bout at Wembley Arena to win the vacant IBO super-lightweight title.
Since that contest, there has been a lot of debate over who will guide the career of Azim moving forward, and that decision has now finally been announced, after it was confirmed that he has signed a new contract with his long-term promoter Boxxer.
Azim and Boxxer have worked together for the past few years, and the youngster has explained why he’s decided to sign a new deal with the promotion.
“I am very happy to sign this new deal with BOXXER. They have been with me from the start, and together we have already achieved so much. I know I have the right team around me to take me to the top and continue to build a massive fanbase on the biggest platforms.
“I’m excited for this next chapter. I want to fight for world titles and test myself against the best fighters out there. I’m ready to show the world what I’m truly capable of.”
Boxxer have recently ended a long-term deal with Sky Sports, with their events set to be aired on BBC moving forward. The Boxxer stable also currently includes the likes of Ben Whittaker, Martin Bakole and Callum Simpson.
