The promoter of former WBC light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson, Yvon Michal made a statement Thursday regarding the latest news about the 41 year-old adopted Canadian boxer.
Stevenson collapsed shortly after being knocked out in the 11th round against Oleksandr Gvozdyk in Quebec City, Canada on December 1.
Speaking to the Montreal Gazette Michal said: “He(Adonis) still needs mechanical assistance to breathe, and he has not regained consciousness. When we visit him, we cannot stay with him for long, and the doctors do not venture an opinion on what lies ahead.”
