British heavyweight Dave Allen thinks that Oleksandr Usyk could be beaten before the end of his career, but only by one man.
So far, Usyk has shown himself to be imperious in the ring. He has never took hurt in any of his fights, and has never legitimately been put down to the canvas.
Hr has twice beaten Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury and Daniel Dubois on his way to becoming history’s only ever two-time undisputed champion in the four-belt era.
He recently vacated his WBO belt rather than face mandatory Fabio Wardley and has recently said he would like to fight Deontay Wilder.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Allen suggested that the one man who may prove his kryptonite because of his inside game is German Agit Kabayel.
“[Usyk] is an all-time great fighter, but I don’t think he’s exceptionally great on the inside; they call it mid-range; I don’t think he’s great in the mid-range. I think the only man who can do that, Fabio Wardley, is exceptionally dangerous and a hard man.
“We’ve seen Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubious not do it, but I think Kabayel is the only man that can do it, and I still think he’s fresh enough. Stylistically, he’s all wrong for him. He’s the only heavyweight in the world who can get in that range you need to be to make it happen.”
Kabayel is also unbeaten and has knocked out Zhilei Zhang and Arslanbek Makmudov. He won this past weekend at home in Germany and immediately called out Wardley and Usyk.
