Like many people, Amir Khan is finding it hard to be settle on who will win when Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn fight next month.

This contest has been a long time in the making. The British pair were due to fight first back in October 2022, but that fight was infamously canned when Benn tested positive for a banned substance.

After more than two years fighting to clear his name, he was freed on UK soil to fight late in 2024 and will now be going up two weights to take on the naturally much bigger man in Eubank, who has also fought at a higher level against the likes of James DeGale, Billy Joe Saunders and George Groves.

Speaking to Froch on Fighting, former world champion Khan explained why he is now backing Eubank having previously sided with Benn.

“You know, I was saying Conor was gonna win a couple of weeks ago. I thought he was the aggressor, but then looking at the size difference and realised he’s going up not one but two weights, these weights are made for a purpose.

“Even though I fought Canelo, I know the difference, but then again Eubank is no Canelo, Canelo was a beast, but I still feel that Eubank has more weight, power, strength, and the height and size over Conner Benn. I’ve got him winning that fight now.”

Although Eubank is the bigger man, he will face penalties if he adds more than 10lbs of weight by the morning of the fight.
